How to use OpenAI’s Sora AI ?

Sora is a text-to-video model from OpenAI that can create realistic and imaginative scenes from text instructions. To use Sora, you need to have access to the Sora app or website, which are not publicly available yet. OpenAI is still testing the safety and quality of Sora, and working with visual artists, designers, and filmmakers to gather feedback.

If you have access to Sora, you can follow these steps to use it:

  • Open the Sora app or website and sign in with your OpenAI account.
  • Enter a text prompt in the input box, describing the scene you want to generate. You can use natural language and be as specific or vague as you want. You can also use keywords, hashtags, or emojis to add more details or styles to your prompt.
  • Click on the Generate button and wait for Sora to process your prompt. Depending on the complexity and length of your prompt, this may take a few seconds or minutes.
  • Sora will show you a preview of the video it generated, along with the text prompt and some metadata, such as the resolution, duration, and frame rate. You can play, pause, rewind, or fast-forward the video, or download it to your device.
  • You can also edit the video by changing the text prompt, adding or removing frames, cropping or resizing the video, applying filters or effects, or adding audio or subtitles. You can use the Edit button to access these options.
  • You can also extend the video by adding more text to the prompt, or using the Extend button to let Sora continue the scene. Sora can extend the video forwards or backwards in time, up to a maximum of one minute.
  • You can also share the video with others by using the Share button, which will generate a link that you can copy or send to anyone. You can also upload the video to social media platforms, such as X, Y, or Z, or embed it in your website or blog.

Sora is a powerful and creative tool that can help you express yourself and explore new ideas. However, you should also be responsible and respectful when using Sora and acknowledge its limitations and uncertainties. You should not use Sora to generate harmful or misleading content, infringe on intellectual property rights, or violate ethical and social norms. You should also give proper credit to Sora and OpenAI when sharing or using the videos it generates.
