Neeraj Chopra wins silver; Rahul Gandhi congratulate

LIVE updates for the 2024 Paris Olympics: After surpassing his Tokyo gold medal throw, Neeraj Chopra was unable to secure a second straight top finish because of Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem’s outstanding performance. PR Sreejesh’s hockey career ended happily ever after thanks to the Indian men’s hockey squad. When India first missed out on qualifying for the Games, he began his international career and retired with two straight Olympic medals.

While Arshad Nadeem created history for Pakistan by setting an Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters, which he repeated with his last try to win gold, Neeraj Chopra managed to throw 1.87 meters farther than his gold-winning throw at the Tokyo Olympics, but he only took home silver in Paris. The first Pakistani to win an Olympic gold medal individually is Nadeem. Neeraj follows PV as the third Indian.
